| Yorkie's tail We are somewhat new to the yorkie world, having purchased our puppy on June 28th, 2007, on his 4 month old birthday. He was born on February 28th, 2007. We are wondering why yorkies have their little tails nubbed, and does anyone have a picture of a yorkie without the tail nubbed, that they could post? We are enjoying our yorkie so much, he is alot of company! We went without a dog for 19 years, now he has replaced the kids who are all in their 30's! Hope to hear from someone soon, we'll surely enjoy this website. |

| HI and Welcome to YT! There are some with full tails here and they're so cute! YOu could do a search (at the top of the page) and search for full tail perhaps that will bring something up also. Mine are docked so I'm of no help, sorry |

YT 500 Club Member | Welcome empty nester and Yorkie lover! My husband and I are also enjoying parenting a Yorkie after children. She is our baby. Hope you have as much fun as we have. There is a thread on here with a picture of a Yorkie with a full tail. It is so cute. Ours has such a short one that the groomer always leave extra hair for her to wag.

| It's illegal here to have a dog's tail docked, so all our little furbabies now keep their tails. Max looks very arrogant as he struts about with his tail and nose held high in the air. I'll ask my husband if he'll take a photograph of him tomorrow. |

| The Yorkie has traditionally always had a docked tail. The Yorkshire Terrier Club or America and AKC calls for the Yorkshire Terrier to have a tail docked to medium length in the standard. Some countries have made it illegal to dock tails or crop ears so you'll see undocked yorkies more frequently as well.

| Oh what a real cutie, she looks so like Tinkerbell, but smaller! Tinks tail is much the same as this. Like dundeemax said, it is illegal here in the UK to have them docked.
