| the little witch tried to bite me the other day i gave lexi one of those hard chicken filet treats and then tried to get it back from her to see if she would let me, but she almost took off my dam fingers off. she was staring at me with her beady looking eyes as to say, try it!!!! and you will see what you get..!!!! i yelled at her and she ran to try to hide it under the heater vents, but i saw it hanging out there so i crawled under the end table to this chicken thing and streched my arm to get it and she growled at me and snapped at me. well, my hand went under my arms so fast. that little thing scared the crap outta me. she would of bitten my dam fingers off...so what was i supposed to do? hit her?? yeah right, i couldnt even catch her... i said oh yeah!! so i put my coat on and left her in the house by herself with that dumb chicken thing.. she said bye bye mom...came home 10 minutes later she was happy to see me... i wanted to scream.. just though you all would get a kick out of this story... its funny, but not really

| Maggie tried that bitting thing with me when I groomed her the first time. I just pooped her mouth, not hard, just enough to scare her. She never tried it again. Hugs to you poor Mommy!

| I guess Lexi just wanted you to know she is in charge!!! Seriously though, Im glad you did not get bit. That would of been very painful - these little dogs have such powerful jaws, its amazing considering their size!

| Trust me, I know the feeling. When we go out on walks, Marley always picks things up like rocks. When I try to get them out of her mouth, she growls and bites me, one time she even drew blood! Her trainer said that she most likely thinks she's the alpha dog, and she's thinking "who are you to take that from me". She seems to be better lately, luckily. Even though they're small, it still hurts!

| Give the rest of the chicken filets to a neighbor's dog. That'll teach her. |

| Welcome to my world, at times, with Buddy! It's funny reading but not so funny when your experiencing it. We been working on this food guarding for three years! When he has something special like that and I want to teach him a lesson for growling big brave me gets either the gate to put infront of me or the swifter mop to reach for it. He bit the mop a couple of times! Sounds funny but he's lucky I don't pull his ears off one of these days. Scary because they are bigger Yorkies. Hang in there Gina and try holding it next time and giving her a couple of licks and taking it away. Then 10mins later do the samething. It has worked pretty good for Buddy. As long as you don't give her the whole things for awhile. Just take it away after a couple of minutes. |
