| Getting used to a doggy bed Checking to see if anyone has any advice. My little girl, MacKenzie, is about 5 months old and has been sleeping in a carrier next to my bed since we got her 2 months ago. She is fully potty trained using her doggy door (thanks to her fur mommy). The problem is she always has to get up at 3:00am on the button to go to the bathroom. I would like to transition her to a dog bed so she can let herself out to go to the bathroom. Her outside area is safe and secure and I can set up a baby gate at night so she can't roam the house. I guess I am not sure how to teach her that this is her bed and where she should sleep. I think at this point she will be just trying to get up into my bed all night. Any suggestions? |

| KaCee is still sleeping in a crate but A.J has a bed at the foot of our bed. Every night and sometimes several times throughout the night, we have to remind him that his bed is on the floor. We tell him to "go to bed" and if he lays down on his bed, he gets a little treat. He does fairly well most of the time, but there are still morning that I wake up to him snuggled right up beside me
