| Aggressive behavior Hi all, I've been a member for a while. I have a question that I need help with. My wife and I have 5 little girls. 3 Maltese and two little Yorkies. Here is my question. Why the aggression toward each other when it comes to the two yorkies. They only seem aggressive toward each other. They never fight the maltese girls at all. One is two and the other 8 months old. Both are really beautiful dogs and if I can't get help, we may have to get rid of one. Neither my wife or myself want to do this. They play great together for the most part and I seem to notice a change during the heat cycle. But lately it appears as if any small thing sets them off toward one another. Don't know if its pure jealousy or what it could be. Please help me with this if any of you have experienced this with your dog. Thanks for all your help.....Buddy |

| Sorry to hear your girls are not getting alone......The only thing I can think of if they are not spayed that very well can contribute to the problem......I was told there's nothing worse than a "b*tch" fight, they can get more brutal than males....Good luck and I hope someone else has some more advise for you.... And welcome to Y.T. .....

| Please get them spayed before you consider getting rid of them. I'm sure the problems are hormone related. |

| I agree with the above postings. Try having your girls spayed and see if that helps at all! Good luck to you!

| Hi, and welcome! Another Louisianaian; where are you? I agree with the other posts also. Unless you're planning to breed, have them spayed. I have 4 males and 1 female. Before they were neutered, 2 of my males would get into just horrible fights; with me in the middle sometimes! Since they have been fixed, about 10 mos. now, everybody gets along great. Other than spaying them, they will probably have to be seperated during their cycles. How bout pictures??
