| Crying from shots Hi everyone:-) So my poor baby Deegan got his third set of shots a couple hours ago and he is just crying and yelping- a lot more than last time. The Vet had said that he would be sad- but I am just worried and it breaks my heart to her him crying:-( Is this normal? |

| Crying when you touch him or when you aren't touching him? Screaming or crying? Usually this is normal. Are his gums pink?

| Hi:-) Thanks for the response. Well, he is kind of randomly crying- and definitley gets worse when I pick him up- this is when it becomes a scream. His gums are pink- and he still eats treats if I give him one. |

| I guess I wouldn't be too worried then but that is sad. I'd make sure his gums stay pink and make sure his respiration rate is normal (about 18-34 breaths or maybe a few more) a minute.

| this happened to pebbles after her second shots.. the vet said she would be sleepy all day... but she did not mention the crying and the apparent pain.. it seems it hurt her where she got the injection--on her back. if i picked her up and placed my hand on it she would scream.. or if anything touched it, even clothes.. she was like this for 2 days, crying and wobbling around. I felt so bad |

| Jasmine cried her 1st time for a day, next day she was fine, so the next time vet gave them to her in the hip, that was some better, this last time I reminded him of that and he gave hers to her in the hip, and his tech was talking to me when he gave Chunky Monkey's shot in the hip(which he never had and didn't have any pain the the shoulder) and he cried and screamed when you picked him up, but was fine the next day..Hope she is better tomorrow, its hard to see them in pain.

| Bailey had no reaction to any shots until the 3rd round - and even then she was only lethargic for about 8 hours. That said, the vet was careful to use smaller needles (we discussed it).

| Little Man done the same thing when he got his 2nd set of shots. He would cry and the he would scream when I touched the area that he got his shot. I called the vet and told them and said when he got his 1st set he didn't do this and I was worried. They told me to lightly massage the area to help ease the soreness out and that he would be fine tomorrow. Talk about being heartbroken...I was cause everytime I did this he would scream but I finally got his soreness worked out and he was fine.

| So sorry to hear your baby's not feeling well. Hope she's better quickly. My pup didn't react that way, that's so sad. |
