| Jasmine got Spayed! Jasmine got spayed today! While she was out, we also had the vet pull out all the rest of her baby teeth and had her microchipped. The vet called and said that she was like a shark and had 19 baby teeth! I think that may be why she was chewing on all out wood furniture. The poor baby is probably soar! My mom asked the vet if we could take her home, because my mom is not sure if they would keep a close eye on her over the night. Not to be mean, but there are a lot of other dogs they have to watch. Jasmine is so small, and we want to make sure she doesn't get a low sugar over the night. The vet said that they have staff that stays there at night, so should we just keep her there? Please help us decide! We would pick her up tomorrow if she stays the night there.

| I'm so glad that Jasmine came through the surgery okay! I brought my dogs home the same day and all went well. They didn't have all those teeth pulled though...poor little Jasmine. I just can't tell you what to do...maybe ask your vet. I do think they feel much more secure at home and with their loved ones.

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | glad all went well. I acutally picked up lulu up that night and cared for her myself. she had several teeth pulled as well. honestly they will pretty much just sleep most of the night from the pain meds.

| I saw your post in my thread, but just wanted to post here that I'm so glad everything went well! That's A LOT of babyteeth! Hopefully she won't be in any pain. Even though the vet has staff that stays, I would take her home as long as you can make sure she's not running around and playing. That's just my personal preference. It's hard enough not having Bella here just during the day, I can't imagine over night.

| I'm so glad that everything went well with Jasmine's spay. I'm not sure what to tell you regarding the choice of picking her up, or leaving her at the vets over night. I chose to leave Penny when she had her surgery and had 8 teeth pulled, but that is because I trust my vet to watch over her and I wanted her to be comfortable ( pain meds ). When I picked her up the following day she was very sore and did not move much for the next few days. I'm sure that what ever decision you make will be the right one for you. Hugs to Little Jasmine from all of us here ..... |

| Jasmine never runs around and plays anyway! She is always in her own doggie hot pink disc chair like below!

| LOL! I think we need to pick her up, but my mom is the one who can drive, and is still debating. I told her that since I just got my tonsils out, and stay up most of the night(my ears kill me over the night), that I would watch her if she puts the crate that she likes to sleep in by my bed. But she is still debating. I have a little table near my bed and would keep nuetracal there incase of the low sugar.

| How big is she? If she is less than 2 pounds than I don't know. But if she isn't than I think you should get her spayed. That's just my opinion. We didn't know if we should get Jasmine spayed. That is why we waited until she got older to see if she got bigger, but she didn't so we went ahead and did it anyway.

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | My vet wouldn't do Lulu until she had hit over 2 1/2 lbs.

| When we scheduled to get her spayed, she was 2 1/2 pounds. But when we dropped her off and weighed her there she was 2 pounds 3 ounces.
