| Floppy Ears? I have been looking at a ton of pictures, websites, books, etc...and most say ears will be standing by 8 weeks, Maxx is 9 weeks & still has floppy ears, but I love them, they are so cute!!! Does this mean they will stay like that??? Ha Ha |

| Some don't stand until later, and they can go up and down with teething from 4-6 months. You can shave the top half of the ear and that will help them to stand.

| HE is young they will most likely go up by them selves. You can shave and tape them to train them to go up

| Only one of my crew has his ears up, I've tried everything to get them to stand but it only lasted for about a day and down they went again, today they are all over three years old and the two with floppy ears are just as cute as the one with pointed ears. PS. cute baby!! |

| When I got Izzie her ears were down, but right now they are starting to going up. One stands up the other down, sometimes both. I shaved her ears about halfway down and that seem to help...Hopefully they will stand but I will love her either way

| ear struggles I am struggling with a set of ears as well.... I have a buyer with a 5 month old who is very upset his ears aren't standing.... I've tried just about everything to help.... I will say, I had some great suggestions yesterday in the breeder section... I don't have the link handy, but jump down to the breeder forum and read the replies..... |

| You can massage the ears, trim the hair off the top 1/3 of the ear, and a little bit of cottge cheese(I use 2% and about a teaspoon)..as long as they're up by 5 mos. you're okay..I wouldn't start taping until after 12 weeks to give them time on their own. I have a biewer that is almost 3 now, and his never came up, but, he's adorable with them down.. |

| ears The ears seem to be a really big deal to my buyer.... She explained that size and color is really not a big deal to her, but she must have erect ears.... At this point, as I said, I don't know how to help her.... I just rarely run into an ear problem..... I so want to help her have the puppy she desired.... I feel very responsible when a buyer is somewhat unhappy... So it is kind of a personal deal for me.... |

| I know it is not the standard for a Yorkie to have floppy ears - That said, I can't help but saying the floppy ear babies I have seen on here are just adorable and look so full of character

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | He still young, they probably will go up. If they don't by 12 weeks, you can shave the tips and tape the ears, but that's if you really want them to stand. |
