| I am so FURIOUS!! Sorry long post but it needs the details! As you know Tiny and I are relocating to the UK so we have to make sure his pet passport is fully compliant as the UK is VERY strict. So when I emailed a copy of the rabies vaccine page to the company transporting Tiny they kindly pointed out that the vaccine dates had been completed incorrectly. The renewal date for the first vaccine had not been entered so that needed to be completed, it should have said 15/03/08 (the original vaccine 15/03/07) Then the date of renewal for the booster said it was completed on 15/03/08 but the renewal date for the next vaccine said 28/02/09. The actual date the booster was administered was the 28/02/08. Luckily the vet had written the incorrect date in pencil so it could be amended without invalidating the passport. So I went to the vet to get her to correct the dates and explained REALLY carefully what I need because DEFRA are very fussy about amendments. So she completed the passport and it looked fine so I took it home and looked at it again and the vet had put the date the booster was administered at 28/03/08!!!!! INVALIDATING THE BLOOD TEST!!! I had to run to the vet's office again and get her to reamend it in a way that it wouldn't be refused by customs and quarantine at Dover. Fingers crossed it will be accepted. INCREDIBLE! |
