Luv my 7 Furkids Donating Member | pictures of haircuts Im thinking of cutting one of my boys hair. All my dogs are full coat except Cricket (her hair is cottony and thick), the one Im thinking of cutting his hair is very fine and has never really grown full length. If any of you have their thinner haired babies cut, not shaved down, could you post their picture please? Maybe if I see some pictures it would help me decide. Thanks. |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Joey's hair was thin as a puppy, and I found keeping it shorter made it look thicker, but although it's slow growing it's finally long enough for a top knot. Some silk coat are very slow growing.

| Here's some of Ranger- I don't really know if his is thin or not, he's the only yorkie I know!! But, I do know it was getting long and looked greasy and stringy only a few days after a bath, so I got him groomed and now his coat stays looking nice for at least five days and it looks so much fuller! Good luck!! Two after, one before. Please ignore the little shaved front legs! Those pics were taken right after a few day stay at the vet's office. The hair is just now growing back!!

| Sorry I have been behind on here. Rocco's hair is pretty thin so I got the bright idea to do a modified schnauzer cut on him. I am attaching some photos that will hopefully help some. This was right after I brought him home from the groomers and he was a little mad at me so he shows it in these pics. LOL One of the things that I like about this cut is that Rocco's hair doesn't have that oily look to it even though its not. 1. http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/c...131/Rocco1.jpg (this the before shot 2. http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/c...131/Rocco5.jpg (after shot) 3. http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/c...131/Rocco6.jpg (after shot)

| Adie wears a modified snauzer cut too. That's her in my avtar. I do like to keep her in a topknot though - even if it is on the thin side. |

| I just realized I have a picture or 2 that I can add to this thread, it may help with deciding. Zanders hair is not very thick, so after 3 or so days after being washed ... it would start looking thinner. I am liking the shorter hair, easy to wash & go.

Luv my 7 Furkids Donating Member | First, thank you all for sharing your beautiful babies haircuts. I cut his hair myself. I have been cutting Crickets for some time, but was really nervous about cutting his because he is so thinly coated. I posted on another thread, his and Crickets pictures. Actually it didnt turn out too bad. He likes it. I did end up cutting off his top knot later. Now I wish I hadnt. At least it will be easier to bathe and comb as well as better to keep an eye on those little yeast sores. He is getting much better though!!! Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa... Again, thank you all. And all of your babies are beautiful! Linda |
