| Buddy going under the knife!! I dropped Buddy my 7 month old off at the Vet's office this morning. Buddy is having four extra teeth removed. Why is it that they expect you to just hand your baby over and leave??? With my skin kids I would never leave them alone for a surgery!!! The vet just says "call us after 3 and we will let you know how he is". And he is so small. Actually he gained weigh and now weighs 3.7 pounds. I'm sure from all the posts on here everything will be fine but I am a wreck!!! Tauni |

| Don't you hate that? They treat you as thought it's on a pet so don't worry. I was CRYING when I dropped my dog's off to be spayed and neutered. It is a big deal for us - they're out babies. I know your baby will be great!

| I'm sure Buddy will be just fine! It's really hard, though. I hated to leave Tucker at the groomer a couple of weeks ago. (Of course, Bandit had his first seizure the same day he went to the groomer so I was really worried) Did you ask the vet if you could stay until he was under? I think I'll do that. My vet knows I'm a nut case, he may let me do it.

I was crying too!! My vet looked me right in the eyes and said..."I HAVE BEEN YOUR VET OVER 18 years! By now you think you would trust me She will be fine!!!" Of course that did NOTHING for me... I did NO WORK all day! And I called the vet at least 10 times in 3 hours checking in on her Its only natural... Buddy will do wonderful and will be back to normal in 1 - 2 days... Please keep us posted! XoXoXo Fran and Sammi

| Me, too...SNIF! I have to take Latte today for a tooth cleaning and to have a sore looked at and cleaned on her face. It's not my usual vet and I'm petrified. I'm trying to get reassurance before noon, otherwise I'll have a nervous breakdown. She's so little and precious. I hate it when you know it's for their best care, but I hate dropping her off. I would like to hold her the whole time. (Thanks for this forum. My husband can't take any more of my worry!) |

| I hated leaving Gus. It was even worse leaving him in the hospital after his accident. I was able to visit with him but if they were too busy, then I couldn't even visit. I was calling every 3 hours or so when I wasn't able to be with him. It's hard but he'll be back in your arms in no time.

| I really do feel for you. Deegan hasn't had any suergeries yet, but will be due in about 3-4 months to be neutered, and have teeth taken out if necessary. And I know that I will be a basketcase. I have already save a vacation day, just for that procedure. I know that it's routine and he will be fine, but it's so nerve racking when you can't be there and not knowing the how they are doing. Fear of the unknown is the worst. Wishing you both luck to get through the surgery, and I hope that he bounces back in not time!
