| Puppies.. are they super hyper? Hey all! I got my new puppy! He's 3 months and I haven't seen him yet. My boyfriend picked him up for me and I'm out of town visiting family. He said that MJ (my baby boy's name) is very tiny (i believe less than 2 pounds) and very hyper. He keeps running around. Is this normal? I mean I know that puppies do run around but I was wondering how do you get one to calm down? I'm so excited to see him myself. I cannot stop thinking about him. I'll post up pictures as soon as I can. Also I believe I'm going to crate train him (not really crate but seclude him in an area by fencing it off inside the house). I want to make sure he's well potty trained from the beginning. Because my boyfriend and I have a 1 year old girl and we did not potty train her well from the beginning so she still is not the best at going only on the newspaper. =/ best advices you guys have would be great THANKS! |

| Ummmm, puppies are super-duper hyper! I longed for the day that Coby would actually SNUGGLE with me. He just couldn't because that required actually sitting still when he was little. But he is 1 year old now and is quite the snuggler finally. So yes, they are super-hyper.

| when i got pebbles at 8 weeks she wasnt so hyper...she did skip around but not as much as she does now. I think her coordination wasnt fully developed because the way she walked was hilarious-- like a baby--like she was just learning how to use her legs. she was really tiny. but shes 3 1/2 months now and my god, when she gets going she is crazy. sometimes i just have to put a comforter over my head to hide from her! lol but it doesnt last very long. an HOUR tops (if shes really hyper) then she is down and out sleeping for a long while |

| FYI:NORMAL. Mine is so hyper. (He's 9 weeks). He gets so excited and hops around(like a rabbit) and tries to bark and sometimes it sounds as if he is snorting cause he's out of breathe from being so hyper. (hmmm barking rabbit)When he gets to crazy I put him in his pen so he will chill out. |

| Both my Yorkies were and are calm dogs except when someone comes to visit or they see the birds by the picture window. I've had hyper ones before and prefer calm. |

Missing Yoshi Everyday! Donating Member | yes puppies are hyper...hehe..but once they grow up they are a lot more calm...hehe...crate training is actually the best way to housetrain a puppy...because more dogs won't go where they sleep or eat...as time progress you can give them a little more room...slowly i suggest...the bigger the area upfront gives them to much room to do their business in...hehe

| Jojo is 1 year & 5 mths and FULL of energy. He loves to cuddle now that he's older, but when he was a pup he was all over the place. It's very normal and healthy.

| my super hyper yorkies! My two yorkies, boobah and gina are real fireballs. However, even though I take them to the doggie park, I am there for 3 to four hours daily. They awake during the night and rough house with each other for about 2 hours! Last night I was awake until 3am....I need to crate my tiny one, Gina, who weighs in at 3lbs,1oz. Otherwise, separate them! I need my sleep!LOL Gina is 10 mos. old and boobah is 1 year 3 weeks old.
