| In Feb I went away for a week. I have almost all different dogs than when I went away last year at aboout the same time. I am mentoring a person who has decided after several years of considering breeding Yorkies seriously. They have a boarding kennel for toy breeds and I left 7 (OMG-7) of my babies there. They acted as if they had never been away from me at all. That was great because I knew they were happy being there...An owner on another forum left her Yorkie adolescent there at another time and felt her baby was well cared for..I feel so lucky because I KNOW theose places are hard to find. |

| Because my dad's sister runs the vet clinic I would think Bella will get VIP treatment. My parents would normallyy stay with her but they are going too and leaving their 13 year old yorkie at the same place with Bella. Maybe they can get caged side by side. I would love to sneak her along but will she bark and get us thrown out? Plus where would I go to potty if the complex is no pets? I took her last month to the Radison and she barked at doors shuting in the night! I feel so bad leaving her. She is so sweet and cute. My aunt found an old lady who has yorkies but has three of her own and I was afraid to burden her with a semi trained puppy. I am also nervous she could get away. I worry for her safety. My neighbors offered to let her out. She would be lonely home alone all day. Plus if she got off her leash she could get hit by a car or run away. At the clinic she will be fenced in. This is as bad as leaving your own kids. |

| Will her breeder board her? Mia's breeder states in her contract that she would prefer her puppies to be brought back to her so that she can board them as opposed to leaving them boarded elsewhere. I have toyed with idea of starting my own very small scale boarding/babysitting business for pampered toy breeds whom have over protective mommies like me.

| I have boarded my dogs at various kennels for over 30 years. I had a wonderful boarding kennel when I was living in Virginia, and boarded mine there every time I left except for once. Since I was active with Scout groups, they were boarded about 6-8 times a year. The one time I delayed getting them a reservation and the kennel was full. Then i booked Tahoe Rentals ,they are pet friendly rentals and are affordable. |

| Same here! I have a cruise coming up, and I know I will be worried sick about him the whole time. And miss him! Vacations will be bittersweet from now on.
