I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I always recommend the Yorkshire Terrier Club of America; these breeders are in good standing with the AKC. http://www.ytca.org/breeder4.html E-mail some that are near to you, and see if they have any impending litters. Go visit them, and get to know the breeder and her dogs. Good luck with your search.

| I wish I had a better answer for you. We used references (friends, relatives, and their friends and relatives) to find our breeder. If it weren't for that, I wouldn't have ever found Coby, because our breeder doesn't advertise very much - uses mostly referrals. I also asked at the vets. They know the "healthy" yorkies that they see and often know who the breeders are. Good Luck!!!

| I did alot of research in what to ask a breeder, what not to ask, what to look for, and where I could find a breeder. I even bought a Yorkie magazine that had a whole 6 page article about finding a breeder.I eventually used the ytca.org website and contacted about 8 breeders until I found the one I liked best. I am currently on the list for a puppy who is going to be born in the next week or two! Also, if you have any other questions, this website is EXTREMLY helpfull in anything you need. Also, ask LOTS of questions! Good Luck! |

| Breeder information We have a dissertation on our site about choosing a puppy including common misconceptions about males / females ect.... We also have information about how to choose a yorkie breeder. Beyond that, we have also have an excellent resource sent to use regarding breeders with excellent questions to ask potential breeders. I found the information very helpful and have been sending it out when requested.... You are more than welcome to visit our article on choosing the right breeder @ http://www.southeasttexasyorkies.com/choosing_a_breeder . For additional information, send us an email requesting the "breeder info article" and I will forward that to your email.... It is excellent for any one looking for any breed....... Hope this helps..... Kirista |

| Nw Furbaby wanted Please pick a puppy you can see everything, do not fly puppy in over internet pictures. Everything in writing, no verbal promises. It is difficult not to fall in love fast with their cute little faces. Hope you Pick a Yorkie, you will never go back to another breed. Just like kids they all have their own personalities, energy, playful, etc. Consider your life style, as Yorkies are not happy in kennels most the day or left at home. Really want to be with you all the time. I could go on and on, just wish you the best, take your time and you will find your furbaby.
