| Why Does My Baby Do This? Princess Jill loves to walk up and down a wall. If that makes sense ha! She will walk all the way down a wall and come back up... I have been rubbing her pettig her ect... Is this because she needs to itch? Is it because it is massaging of sorts? Or is it because being a previous show dog maybe in a crate she walked the crate back and forth because dogs were on the other side? DO ya'll know what I am talking about? Im confused

| Murfee does that all the time....no matter where we are. If we are walking down the street, he rubs against the store fronts. When we are walking down a street, he rubs again the fences.

Lovin' 2 Girls Donating Member | Depending on how she was 'kept', that could be true. Whether this applies to your Jill's previous living arrangements, I have heard that some show dogs are kept in crates most of their lives

| hey vicki i am not sure but wanted to say i LOVE the new picture on your avatar!! oooh and maybe this is just a personality quirk...i know a lot of people who went through the phase in high school and they would walk down a hallway and kind of hold their hand out to the side and lightly let it run down the wall as they walked (not sure if that visual makes sense and if this is the same thing you are talking about ) ... i do it at work sometimes if i am working close to the wall...not sure why as i am not a touchy feely person lol ... miss buffey will rub against the wall as she walks by it sometimes...i just assumed she liked the way it felt...kind of like a mini massage?

Donating YT 11K Club Member | Teddy does that but on the metal on the bottom of my bed, he puts his back against it. I always thought it was his way of scratching it. I do it for him too and he loves it. Just scratch her, maybe she is itchy.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Cali does it and I always figured it was because she is always itching it felt good to rub up against the wall.

| I'm so afraid that Murfee is gonna get stickers when he rubs up against the fences so I try to keep him away. Miss Vicki are you bringing both of them to the meet up?

| My first thought was that she was itchy..but you said she hasn't been scratching and hasn't seemed itchy. So maybe she's "marking" by rubbing against it...marking the house as her new home. Dogs just do wierd things sometimes
