| Will They ever get used to eachother?! I'm so Happy to say, Lola is finally Home!!!! The drive home from Dallas WASNT even a problem for her. She slept the entire way back!! *wheew* Although, it HAS been difficult getting Lola Adjusted with Sassy Lola weighs 1.5 pounds, & Sassy weighs 6. so you can imagine the size difference. Everytime Sassy sees Lola, in the middle of the night, in the morning, she gets SO excited. That she runs & Tackles little Lola over! Lola screams & at times starts to cry. Sassy is just SO Rough & I'm terrified that shes gonna hurt the baby. How long will it take Sassy to get used to Lola & stop tackling her everytime she sees her? i Love my Babies & I'm just so worried!

| Well at least Sassy likes her. I don't know how long it will take but I'll bet it won't be long. Congrats on getting your new baby.

| Well i'm not sure this is "Like-ness". Sassy grabs Lola by her neck with her mouth & tries to drag her. She gnaws at Lola's Legs & face. NON STOP!!! I'm so overwhelmed I just dont know how much more i can take!! Is this normal? I really thought they would get along.....but instead, every second of the day, Sassy is beating up on her. Any advice?!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Maybe you could try putting Sassy on a leash and controling her jumping on Lola until she gets more use to her. I know with mine it takes awhile for them to all accept a new one. Hang in there.

| They will get use to each other...I had the same situation and it took quite a few weeks to work itself out...I think my baby faked cried alot. I dont think she was actually getting hurt. Maybe more scared then anything..Anyway now they our BFF's It was very frustrating to go threw becuase they couldnt be together, So everytime i spent time with the baby. I would feel bad for Bella and vice versa

| I promise it will get better. It takes at least a few weeks for adjustment. Just make sure you supervise them when they are together (which I know you are Anyway, Sassy will settle down soon and Lola will learn how to defend herself

| Congratulations on your new baby! I wouldn't allow Sassy to grab Lola by the neck and drag her, there's too much of a size difference and I wouldn't allow her to tackle her. Just intervene and watch them closely. Sheila |

| Goodness, that is scary! (((hugs))) Usually, we would just put them in a room together and let them sort out the alpha/submissive routine... but the size difference prevents that for certain! Keep us updated. oh, and PHOTOS!

| I know how you feel, my two babies went through this also. It took them about 3 weeks to get along with one another. They still wrestle but they are just playing with one another. At first they were going for the kill, I guess that was there way of figuring out who is who and which one was the boy and which one was the girl. I thought they would never get along. They are doing fine now. Now they travel in a pack. What one does the other does. They cant live without one another. In due time they will get along. Just let them has out there differences and keep an eye on them. Make sure they both have a quiet area where they can go and be by themselves. I have two seperate crates. Good luck they will be just fine. |
