| I knew the day would come :( I knew the day would come for Kaba to start barking like a normal dog. For her first 8 months, I probably heard her bark 10 times total. Not anymore. Now she is starting to bark at people walking by the house, animals in the neighborhood, leaves rustling, thin air....sometimes I have no idea why she is barking...I swear she's talking to ghosts sometimes. Its not something that really bothers me. She has a very quiet bark and I know how to fix the barking, I just wanted to put it out there that if you have a quiet puppy don't expect them to stay that way forever. I can't brag about her being a quiet toy breed anymore. I just have to focus on the other things to brag about now.

| Mine didn't bark for a few months then hubby when playing with Samson one evening "barked" at him. Samson looked startled, went over into the other room and started rolling around and barking soft little barks. Then went back to hubby and preceeded to bark up a storm. LOL it was so funny! Now he barks but only when he wants something so I can't complain (most of the time hehehe).

| Crosley barks at everything she hears! Wrigley isn't really a barker, but she does this really cute talking bark that goes on for a few seconds. It's adorable, I always think she is trying to tell me a story! Does anyone know what I mean? It's usually when she wants to eat or is trying to get Crosley to play with her, she's very serious about it and it's such a funny noise!

| Why would you want to stop this. Its a way dogs saying things to you. Hes a terrier and likes to notice things. Rocky barks at a toy when we play, it is so cute I think, hes so funny. He also barks at strangers outisde the door. Unless it gets out of hand where he is barking at his own farts, I think its normal. |

| Punkin is not a big barker. She mostly only barks when someone comes to the door. Many days go by and she doesn't bark. She does make lots of other noises to communicate with us. My favorite is her 'happy howl'. It's a howl she only does when she is truly happy. Just hearing it makes my heart sing. When we are out shopping etc so many people comment that she is quiet. They want to know if she is yappy. Do people really expect that all toy breeds bark non-stop? |

I have one that rarely barks except when she is outside and decides to track. Then there is a lot of barking and howling going on. She doesn't "yip", she barks like a big dog. She is only 3 lbs. so her bark is very quiet. Now the other three.........
