| I MADE a car seat for my two babies.... out of two totes. I got the idea from a thread here... but I couldn't find it so I figured it out. I would love to see the thread if any one can find it. Chewy keeps walking all over poor Sadie! i am not sure I can have them both in the same car seat together. I have a small outward hound car seat but the point of making this one was to have them both in the front with me! I am proud of myself. I don't know how to sew and figured out how to make the cover. I will post pics when they wake up and I can put them in...

| Awesome, cant wait to see the pic's. Was it real hard to make. I am in the processes of getting car seats for my two babies. Right know they ride in the travel kennel. They dont like this to much. They whine and cry the whole car ride. One day my daughter had Miko in her lap when we went to the store. He did not whine to muc but just wanted to try and get in mommies lap. I was kinda worried about getting the bubby car seat Nyla and Miko constantly wrestle. I think they both would do better in to seperate seats. But I would love to see pics. |

| Well I can't post pics with them right now but I can tell you how we made it. I took two totes and glued and screwed them bottom to bottom. I wanted to boost the car seat up so they could see out. After the glue dried, I made the seat cover and a pillow to go inside. The seat belt (lap part of the seat belt) goes around the front of the seat, the shoulder part stays in back. I have a dog collar that gets strapped around the shoulder part and I have a dog leash splitter that gets looped through. Then the dogs get hooked into the spliter. I'm not sure how I like it yet, they still try to come out on my lap, and on the arm rest. I just keep telling them no. But I had to try before spending all the money on a new one. I might need to have two. I will post pics. soon as I can.

| Well the car saet is a flop.... The can still climb out of it and all over me! Chewy steps all over Sadie and it is a 3 ring circus!!! The good news is they like it as a bed! I bought twin car seats for 26 bucks a piece and they are pretty happy with them. They can't get out of them and the only bad thing is they have to stand to look out the window. They both seem t be calmer though and the they wind up settling down and sleeping. YAY!!! Sorry the home made one didn't work out. I was so proud of myself too!!!

| Here's the thread you were looking for (I think ?) back when you started this thread. Maybe you can "modify" it enough to work....good luck! http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=78612
