YT Addict | ears i was told that in order for a yorkie's ears to stand up that when they are a pup their ears have to be clipped?! is this true...and if so, OMG doesnt that hurt...?! but i guess its the same as clipping their tails huh?! i just thought that some yorkies ears stood up and some didnt.. |

| Sometimes the hair has to be clipped to keep them from being weighed down but not the actual ear. Some ears stand and some don't depending on the size of the ears and thickness of the cartilage.

| I should have added that some breeds do have the actual ears cropped (not sure which ones) but not yorkies.

| Ears up Just read reply above mine, she gave you good advice. I am sorry I got a little laugh about clipping ears, should have told you clip hair. Could have really hurt and then ears really would never stand!!! My puppy had same problem, and sure enough they no longer tipped over. Not sure of age of your Yorkie, as it can take a litte time.
