| Loss of hair and White spots Does anyone have ANY idea what causes the loss of hair on the bridge of the nose? Along with the hair loss white spots have developed on the bridge of the nose and around the rims of the eyes. My grandmother has a yorkie and I went to visit today and noticed that the loss of hair and the white spots seem to have gotten worse on Charlie. Her vet has never said anything about it to them. I just wonder if anyone elses little ones have had thos problem?

| This might be a good time for a full blood panel to check everything out and insure his immune system to strong. Warmly, Deborah

| he has had a full blood work up. He just had to have a minor surgery to remove a blade of grass from his nostrils. About 7 months prior to that he had to have an another surgery. He is like a vacuum cleaner. He ate a bunch of stuff that he couldn't digest so it has to be cut out. He has had a ton of blood work. I wonder if maybe they are missing something.. (He has had blood work done both times)Any idea of what they may look for?

| Mojo, Does this describe you little one. I know that Charlie is the size of Diesel and weighs 6 pounds. His hair does seem dry and brittle. Not very soft. It also says pigment changes. That would explain the white spots all over his nose and eye rims. i am going to TRY to pass this on to my granmother. She thinks her vet can do no wrong and more than likely will tell me I don't know what I am talking about. So we will see. I think it is worth checking on tho. | No, she doesnt have white spots, just loss of hair on nose. She also has addisons disease but that has nothing to do with her nose hair. Here is a pic - nose is much worse than it looks here -

That pic was last year some time, it is much worse now, I'd say about an inch and a half. It's not hurting her health, but I just don't know what it is.
