| Please look at my Gus My cousin Shelly (Rocco1) posted a few pics of him on here a few weeks ago. Gus is over 5 months old. His mom and dad are both silver. I saw a picture of his sister last night and she is silver. My Gus has no silver. The top of his head looks silver in the pics but it is really light brown. He is solid black and has brown on his face and feet and a small white patch on his chest. Is this normal?? Also he is still very fuzzy and cottony. He has not changed at all since he was born except gotten larger. He weighed 2.15 last time he went to the vet. I just wanted to see what other people thought of his coloring. Thanks, Kim |

| I love his color, he could be pepper's brother!! Is his coat silky or cotton?? I hear that their color can differ due to the coat texture, then again their coats may not completely change till they are close to nearly 1 1/2 yrs old. thats what I heard, but there are more experienced people here that will tell you more.

| I think he is adorable!! The longer it takes for them to clear the colors, the longer the colors will last before become too light when they are older I guess I have read somewhere... please somebody correct me if not... so I guess it is good??? My Luna is 2.5 years old, and until now she is showing mostly blue coat... she was black and tan forever!!! But the blue is deep and pretty now... well worth the wait!!

| he is really handsome! If you want to keep hs coat long...I love the conditioner/detangler called "THE STUFF" on petadge.com. OHHH MY..this is awesome! You just give him a bath and spray and little bit on him after you dry him with a towel..it works wonderful! I got carried away..the black/gold color yorkies are really pretty..and that what he looks like to me |

| I think my Tucker is dark too, though not as dark as your gus. He's about to be 6 months. I love it! For me, the darker the better, even though it may not be the standard. Like the other pp said, I think the longer they take for their coat to break the darker they will be. But I don't think Gus's coat will stay as dark as he is now forever. Here is a picture of my Tucker |
