| Wood & Paper products Okay, I knew dogs were into dirty kleenex and dirty paper towels (with food on them) etc. However, can someone please explain to me why Scrappy is chewing on the edge of the kitchen cabinet corner? On the wooden rocking chair? On part of my bureau? And magazines, books, anything book or paper related? Please tell me what the heck is going on and how I can stop this behavior before he wrecks something big and hubby throws a fit! Diana |

| My Pommie is into wood chewing. Chipper, my Yorkie, responded to Bitter Apple so I tried that but it didn't faze Snowboy at all. Had to resort to hot sauce. No more chewing on that spot, but I have to keep an eye on other corners.

| My guess is teething!! Crickett chews on anything right now. I leave LOTS of chew toys out and if she starts chewing on something that she is not supposed to, I distract her with a chew toy. My eskie that I had (passed away earlier this year) chewed right through a chair wrung. Thank goodness it was a used table and chairs that didn't even match. He was my first puppy and I didn't know what to do to get him to stop when we were not home. Now I crate my puppies until they can stay out of trouble when left alone. Good Luck, it will get better!!!

| I agree, how old is your baby? He sounds like he is teething and trying to alleviate the pain. I have read that clear roll on deoderant will help stop some from chewing. Hope he stops soon for you!

| Chewing !! Bogey chewed on every baseboard corner & basket he could find until he was about 9 mths old . I finally started using clear deodorant on them & he left them alone. Be sure & have plenty of chew toys & bullys for them or they will find something else to use instead. Think of it as their method of losing their baby teeth & getting good strong ones in their place.

| My little Bobby chewed the edge of my wooden bed frame & got really deep in. It's definitely a trial of teething!
