| Kozanna communicated! Kozanna Chihuahua walked up to me while I was sitting on the couch and looked up at me like she wanted up on the couch with me, so I just reached down and picked her up and put her on the couch. That's a breakthrough! I expected her to run away when I reached for her, but she was obviously telling me she wanted up on the couch with me. That's the first time she's communicated any of her wants to me. Hooray! She's learning that she can ask and get what she wants. I've been working on getting her to come when called and spend time just sitting with her, talking to her and petting her. I'll start working with her on a leash pretty soon. I'm proud of my little baby. |

| Kozanna! When you work with rescues, small steps are like giant steps, and we want the whole world to rejoice with us! Your patience is paying off.

| Thanks for the encouragement. Every little step is a giant leap with one like little Kozanna. She's not going to rush up to me like my other dogs do just yet, but she came to me once and that's a big event. There are so many firsts waiting out there for this little girl! |
