Anyways I ran ot to the frint , hes was running in the street along the curb, thank god he came right back. It was just for a few seconds and poof was gone. I will be building Fort Knox's gate now in my back yard.

| Aren't they sneaky little furbabies???? This reminds me of when Lola snuck through the tiny sections of the lattice that separated our deck from our neighbors. I was calling her name and all of a sudden I see her sitting in the middle of their deck!!! Panicked, I had to coax her back to the fencing and stick my hands through the holes working my way up with her in my hands and then I had to carefully "flip" her over the top of the fence. Needless to say, Hubby went out to get some plastic "chicken wire" to put around the bottom of the gate so our little "Houdini" couldn't make any more great escapes!

| Last summer my husband and I were about to leave to go shopping, and as he held the door open for me, both Tootsie and Teddy ran and were headed for the corner, which at times is busy. I started to chase them, and then remembered that they love that, so I hollered good bye, and started to head for the house (keeping my eye on them) I could hear a car coming, and my heart was in my mouth, if they would have kept going, I'm sure they both would have been hit. Miraculously, they turned around at the very last minute, and followed me home. Needless to say, we didn't go shopping, I was just too shook up. They can be very sneaky. Janelles |

| How scary for you. Glad he came back to you when you called him. I had to smile when I read where you said " you will be building a Fort Knox gate".

| Had it happen to me a few years ago. Nothing worse that seeing your pup running down the street by him/herself.

| Tessa has taken off out the front once. I ran to Wal Mart and got one of those knee high gates and put it in my front door. Now when someone wants in or out of the house, they have to step over the gate but atleast my little one can't escape. We are working on the stay comand and the come command.

| And they're so happy doing it----prancing with their tail high. Mine had me huffing and puffing today. Got him to come to me by getting on the wet, muddy ground and acting like I wanted to play. Forgot, in the heat of the moment, that he comes immediately if I whistle.

Be sure to check to make sure there are no holes or gaps underneath, as they can also dig their way out. Just a tiny little place and they will find it. Teddy escaped a couple of times this way. The little monkey! Janelles | |
