Donating YT 11K Club Member | The new dog is psycho! Sunny is only like 8 weeks old or so and my trio don't like him very much. He constantly whines, barks, yaps at them, he chases Teddy and that's fine cause Teddy is bigger and knows how to deal with it but he chases the girls and they hate it! They get scared, Sophie runs away and London does too and then snaps if he gets too close, just enough to scare him but not bite him. It doesn't even faze him, he just lays down and barks at her. He is bigger than both the girls and soo chubby and just doesn't know how to play, he tries to bite at their hair and jump on them and if me or my bf pick him up or try to take him away he yaps and cries like crazy. And the bad thing is he will be bigger than all of them i think. Why is he like this? Is it cause he was taken away from momma too soon?

| It's probably just his age. Puppies can be so annoying to older dogs. I remember when I first brought my yorkie home at 8 wks he would bark and bark at my chihuahua. If he got close to her she would growl at him and he'd keep barking. It wasn't much fun for a couple of months. That was a couple of years ago and they get along great now. They are always playing kissy face with each other. |

| I bet he is just being an over excitable puppy, when we got archie at 12 weeks he would terrorize my kids, especially my 5 year old, jumping them, biting their feet etc..now just 6 week later he is still playful but much more contained in his enthusiasm!!!

| Usually siblings and mothers teach a puppy manners, like bite inhibition, etc. so with him being young he missed out on that time with his mommy and brothers/sisters...

| he's a puppy. try not to condone his behavior. 8 weeks is young, you often have to think of it that way. he is, in al laspects, a baby. i got sophie when she was 8 weeks. she is just as excited, and hyper. it's a puppy thing. all breeds do it. (including the shelties i breed) |

| I wouldn't worry, I think it's more that he's a puppy. They all grow out of it eventually |

Donating YT 11K Club Member | I know it's a puppy thing but none of my 3 acted like this. They acted like puppies, Teddy bit occasionally but none of them whined so loud continuously. hmmm idk it's fine, it's just that he scares my little girls lol

| Some puppies are more hyper than others. Maybe Sunny is just more hyper? I had a friend's Yorkie that was hyper when he was 8 weeks old. He is the only Yorkie but he nipped me when I was there. He bite hard through my socks and got my toe and he bite my shirt and hung on to my back. I am serious! It was painful and he was crazy! I was so scared of him I was screaming for help as his owner were playing poker in the basement and needless to say, I didn't go to his house for the next 6 months. Now he is 2 years old, he is like a different dog. Still hyper but he is not crazy anymore. Can't help you with the multi dogs situation as he only has one but when I bring my yorkie to play with him, he is hyper too and my yorkie will tell him off (my yorkie is a little bigger than he is though) although they still romp the house together. Maybe they will work things out given the time? If the others don't like it, they will tell him off? I can imagine if I was an older dog and had to deal with my friend's puppy, I would be pretty scared too.
