| Since it is winter time, do you have the heater on? Sunnie pants like that in the car if the heater is on. He sticks his nose up to the vents to try to get fresh air.

| When you get nervous what happens? You sweat. How does a dog sweat? Through panting. Does she seem nervous? My other dog was nervous in the car but the only symptom he had was panting loudly...and it did sound like a click when he really got going. I would suggest maybe spraying Comfort Zone on your carseat 15 minutes before you leave...or just bringing her for more car rides to get used to it. Good luck!!

| I notice Georgia does the same thing when I take her somewhere too! I noticed she does it more when we're going longer distances, so maybe she is nervous? I don't know. I've tried giving her water too,and she doesn't seem interested. Good to know she's not the only one! |

| She may be feeling sick. They often pant if they feel sick, even if they don't actually throw up. Giving her water will actually make her more likely to throw up. It helps to take them on lots of short rides, even just five minutes, on a regular basis to get them used, especially if you're plnning on taking a long journey with them. Some dogs travel better if they can't see out of the window, getting less upset if they can't see the world flashing past. |

| I read that Dogs pant and can sometimes throw up when they are upset or nervous. Sadie did both of these on the way home from the breeders. Try short car rides often to get her used to the car. Sadie still shakes when she is scared but she gets over it after a short ride.
