| Found something "foreign" in antibiotic! Some of you know Scooter has had tonsillitis. I've had him on an antibiotic since last Thursday - twice a day. Today, after I'd shaken it up and pulled up the dose into the syringe I saw something "black and slimy" in the dropper. It came up from the bottom of the bottle when I filled the syringe! GROSS! Not only that, I'VE BEEN GIVING THIS TO HIM TWICE A DAY SINCE THURSDAY! I called the vet's office and they told me to bring it in so that they could see. I, needless to say, took Scooter too so that they could check him. The girl said "Are you sure you've kept this in the refrigerator"...I'm like, yeah, hello! Anyway, they checked him, said he was OK and gave me a "fresh" bottle. Well, I'm on record that should he get any sicker, there's a problem. I've always loved my vet, he was very good to Chipper before he passed, but now I just don't know. The place is very clean...no odors or anything. What do you guys think? |

| Hummm...I wonder what it could have been....You did the right thing by taking him and the meds back....and I would keep a record of everything too for awhile...just to be safe! Hope he feels better soon!

| Hope it wasn't anything bad, and that your baby feels better soon!

| That would be scary, hoping it was nothing to cause concern and your baby keeps getting better.

| Thanks guys. It just scares me so bad to think that I may have been giving him something that was going to make him sicker than he already was... |
