| Poor chloe is getting bald spot Chloe keeps scratching her neck and head(ears). She has broken off all the hair on the sides of her topnot so now she has a bald spot on both sides(right below ear). She has also broken off a lot of her hair on the back of her neck too from scratching. I think I am going to have to get her groomed and cut short which will just break my heart. SHe is being treated for ear infection and I gave her frontline a week ago. What do I do? She doesnt look like she has any skin allergy. Her topknot is to thin to even hold a bow. And her poor face just doesnt look right with the bald spots of thin short broken hair ANy help?

| Recon is prone to ear infections also. Not that this was the topic of your concern, but we bought this stuff for him that is a preventative and it works great. We use it every few days and since we have been using it we haven't had any ear infections. I really dont know if cutting all her hair off is going to help her to stop scratching. You might want to talk to the vet before you go and do that. I will give you the info about the ear infection preventative if you want. Its great stuff. Recon was pretty much living constantly with ear infections until we got this stuff. |

| Kelly.....please share the info on the ear infection stuff you use. I have 2 Labs that I have a horrible time with and would welcome trying anything that would help them.

| Just saw Chloe's picture in another thread & she sure didn't look like she was going bald! Someone gave this website last week (sorry I can't remember who - I just copied the site down) & said they had great success with their products. I think I am going to try their shampoo for Kodah as she tends to scratch a little more than I think is normal. http://www.carefreepet.com/product_d...id=79&cat1=dog |

| Maybe you should take your baby to the vet to check for ear mites -- just in case. They are so tiny and hard to see but they make dogs (and cats) go crazy itching and scratching. I hope she feels better soon!
