I could use an answer to that, too. I have two that seem to get car sick every now and then. They seem to like to throw up and make a mess. I know there are some natural remedies that are sold, but I'm still looking on the web for them.

I have heard that ginger (as in a ginger snap) would help.

Vicki, the vets here say to use kaopectate, they say it's safer, don't ask me why..they said you could give benadryl, it's 1 mg per pound(think that's it without going to look)..

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Pepto Bismal (or a generic) would be best as it's intended (partly) for nausea. I also give it prior to air travel.

Well what I did was give him a bit of pepermint tea by syringe because I dont have access to Pepto here. So he is gone, hubby will call later to let me know how he travelled. Bandit has never gotten sick ever and I am thankful for it neither did little Scooby they travelled so well. This one will start even if it is ONE mile to the vet When we drove to France over Christmas we drove in one day 14 hours neither of them got sick

You can use the bendryl ( or the generic) or 1/4 of a motion sickness tablet. I use the generic ones from Wal-Mart and it works great. We travel back and forth to Canada which is a 12 hour ride. I have a bichon and give her 1/4 tablet the night before we leave and then 1/4 tablet in the morning...and no food just a bit of water. I also found with her if she was in her crate, she'd get sick. If she rides in her car seat, she is fine. Good luck, I hope the tea worked!
