| It is normal because she is stressed and confused with her new surroundings. It is not healthy though. Do you have Nutrical? Or canned food? You could try forcing the issue but if she doesn't start eating soon it would be very serioud because of hypoglycemic risk. I would get some Nutrical into that baby (or karo syrup) and watch her close because while this is necessary, it can cause the sugar to plummet after it wears off... Welcome to YorkieTalk

| What are you trying to feed her? I know Piper was very picky and I had to experiment a lot to find things she'd like. And she wasn't good with hard food when I first brought her home. She preferred soft foods. You might try boiling some chicken breast (no seasonings) and cut it up really small and see if that entices her. |

| Did you ask her breeder what she had been eating? You should try the same thing for a while. She's probably grieving, having left the only family she's known behind. Familiar food would be a step in the right direction. My first pup didn't mind coming home at all; the second pup was like yours ... she'd drink, but wouldn't eat. I put some Nutrical on my finger and put it in her mouth, scraping it off my finger with her teeth, like peanut butter. After she got the taste of it, she licked it off my finger. By the following day, she ate food. Good luck with your new baby. |

| You can also try feeding her some plain rice or a little cooked hamburger. Have you tried putting the food on the ground for her? Sometimes it helps as they are hesitant to eat at of their bowls, dont know why, but that has worked for me.

| Give her some time to get used to you & her new surroundings. Chicken may be a good enticer. Actually, others have given you very good advice Welcome to YT. This is a great forum filled with fun, knowledgeable people!
