| Average sizes I just bought a yorkie last sunday (had her for six days) and the breeder had clothes on the mom and dad. I loved it to death, and I've found a site that sells clothes designed for small breeds. However, since this is my first yorkie, I don't know what her measurements will be full grown. I'm expecting her to be 5-6 lbs, since both her parents were in this range. She is 2lbs 4 oz now, and is 8 weeks old. Here is the size chart from the site: Size(inch) Back-Body Chest Neck XXS 6-7 9.5-11 7-8 XS 8-9 11-12 8-9 S 9-10 13-14 9-10 M 10-11 16-18 10-11.5 What size do you think (full-grown) she would fit in? |

| Sounds like she will fit into XSmall based on the weight she is now, and the weight of her parents.. This is the standard for most Yorkies I think, unless they are very tiny. I went out an bought an XXSmall sweater for my Yorkie when I got him at 10 and 1/2 weeks and now it looks like a halter top on him! Definitely need to get XSmall next time around. |
