| Poor little guy has really been thru it hasn't he?? I can't answer all your questions but Murfee lost his next to last canine when he was over 2 years old. He still has 2 on the top right and he's 4. I just haven't had the money 'cause the vet told me it would cost almost $900 to have one tooth removed. I have since moved and am going to ask my new vet when I take him in for his yearly check up and shots.

| See if those baby teeth are loose, try wiggling them just like you would a human kid. If it is already loose, which sometimes they are, you may be able to reach in with some gauze and pull it yourself. DH has pulled a couple out just like he would a human kid with a loose tooth, IF IT IS ALREADY LOOSE. LOL

| If that loose one is for sure a baby tooth, just wiggle it now and then like a kid would do theirs. Give him a bully stick or something to chew on too.

| Ranger had several double teeth. Most of them fell out before he was neutered- well I thought all of them had, but he had four doubles way in the back of his mouth that I couldn't see. He started getting double teeth in at four months and didnt get them taken out until almost seven months. How old is Blue and has he yet been neutered? Poor baby, that kid is one tough cookie!!!!! Oh my gosh $900 to get a few teeth pulled? Good lord! I guess things are WAY cheaper out here in Idaho!

| Don't worry - toy breeds lose their baby teeth later than larger breeds, and the tiny ones especially seem to teeth later. He's right at that age where his baby teeth should be falling out and adult teeth growing in. It's very common for yorkies to retain baby teeth. Give it some time as most baby teeth should fall out on their own. You can have any that don't fall out on their own pulled when you neuter him. Just be prepared for some stinky breath until all the baby teeth are out - food gets trapped in between the teeth and it can stink stink stink. If you are able to, brush his teeth once a day to keep them clean - this will probably also help baby teeth to fall out on their own. Normally, I would also suggest giving them stuff to chew on because that helps teeth fall out, but I don't think he can chew with his cast on. QUESTION #1 WHEN I TAKE HIM FOR CAST CHANGE DO I HAVE BABY TEETH PULLED? You can have them check his teeth, but you should wait and see if they fall out on their own first. Give it another month or two QUESTION #2 WILL THEY PUT HIM OUT? Yes, he will need to be put under to have his teeth pulled. Most people do this at the same time they spay/neuter their dogs. QUESTION #3 IS IT TOO SOON TO HAVE ANYTHING DONE SINCE HE JUST HAD MAJOR SURGERY? Yeah...I would wait QUESTION # 4 IS THERE A CHANCE THESE TEETH CAN STILL FALL OUT ON THEIR OWN? Yes, most probably will - but most likely some of them will need to be pulled. Lacy had to have her 4 baby canines pulled at 7 or 8 months of age QUESTION # 5 IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN PUT ON THIS THING ON HIS LIP.. WHEN TOUCHING IT HE CRIES? You might be able to get some antibiotic ointment for it when you bring him back for a cast change. I'd have them check it out then. Or call them and see if they suggest anything. QUESTION # 6 HOW MUCH DOES IT COSTS TO GET TEETH PULLED? This can really vary widely from vet to vet. If you do it at the same time as he is neutered, it shouldn't be too much more to have teeth pulled. You can use A&M for all your vet services if you want. They are mostly a referrel hospital but they take regular appointment as well.

| Aww, bless his little heart. Remi had 4 baby canines when his big teeth came in. 2 of them came out and he still has 2. I don't know if there are any others, but I know these 2 bother him. I can't imagine it would cost $900 to have a tooth removed. Roxy's were $5.00 each when she was spayed. The anesthesia wasn't that much. I would check with another vet. I hope Blue gets to feeling better soon. Give him a big hug for me.

| I would just wait a couple months...wait and see if the teeth fall out on their own..and let him heal from this surgery. Then you can neuter him and have teeth pulled. With neutering they are normally groggy for a day or two and then back to themselves in no time. It's not invasive so they recover very quickly.

| When my C.C.'s adult teeth were breaking through, 2 stubborn canine teeth on the top stayed in for several weeks. Finally, she spit one of them out in my hand(!). For the other tooth, one evening C.C. came to me and held her mouth open. She wanted me to see that the other tooth was trying to come out, but had gotten stuck sideways. I just reached in and gently pulled it out -- it was that loose! When Yorkies go in for a dental, they are put to sleep for the cleaning and/or removal, but they are home the next day. The cost was not high the last two times I've had it done for my Yorkies.
