| A Parti Yorkie is a Yorkie that is mostly white with black and tan markings on their head, face and some black on their back. I have Biewers (pronounced Biva like Diva)...they are similar but they are from Germany. The Parti Yorkie has the tail docked but the Biewer doesn't. Here's a picture of my Biewer girls...their ears look big because they are shaved so they'll stand, once the hair grows back in they'll look normal again! Donating YT 2000 Club Member | Welcome to YT. There have been a lot of discussions/threads on parti-yorkies on YT. If you are really interested to learn all the ins and outs of the parti, the search on YT will bring up all the prior threads. A parti-yorkie is a 3 colored AKC yorkie that can be registered and not shown. There is no standard for a parti--it is considered out of standard. The Biewer originates in Germany and has an established standard and a tail. At this time it is not recognized by AKC but can be shown with Rare Breed clubs. |
