| dog vs child Well I am not sure if I am the only person with this issue but I have wanted a child as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to be a mom. I have been married about 9 months and before I got Lily having children was all I could think about. Now I don’t think about kids as much, I want another yorkie does this make me a weird person, I mean she is like having a child she keeps me up all night and I chase after her all day. I never thought I would love a dog so much but I am not ready to take the focus off her she is like my baby. Am I insane?

| Nope your not I have always wanted children too and I've been married for about 8 months but were not ready for a human baby so we jsut got a Yorkie baby about a week ago and he's just like our baby. Furbabys are easier to take care of and when the time is right you'll have skin babies |

| No, you're not insane! I'm not married, but once I got Pikko, I was content with knowing I could have a dog for the rest of my life and never want kids. So if that's wrong to say, I must be psycho! |

| Your not crazy! I have two skin kids and wanted to have one more. We tried everything possible (I suffer from infertility) to conceive yet another child even miscarrying a set of twins. I was really feeling sad and down on myself. We got Autumn and I then realized that I had been some what depressed, but thanks to her I came out of my funk and have been great since. I no longer have the need for more children. I am thankful for the two that I have and even got another yorkie. I couldnt be happier!

| nope...not insane! If you need to leave the house for a bit, you can't close your kids in the bathroom. Can't get your teenagers spayed or neutered. If your dog gets knocked up you can sell the baby to a new loving home....can't do that with your kids totally joking! I wanted a dog my whole life....probably more than I wanted kids. I've been married 1 1/2 years and have had TIa for 1 year.....she's *almost* been like practice. My husband and I refer to her as our first child, and our parents have resigned to the fact that for the time being, she's the closest to a grandchild as they are going to get for the time being. I've decided to get my second yorkie after we've had our first baby. I may be a tad ambitious, but I'm hoping to time it out so that our second Yorkie will be relatively housetrained before our first born is mobile. I'm not preggers yet....but knowing there is a second furbaby to follow after that sure is motivation! **why do I feel that if I expressed this to anybody but you guys somebody would pack me off to see a shrink?**

| Hubby and I have been married for 7 1/2 months and we have one yorkie and one golden and I'm thinking about getting a second yorkie. Hubby is going to grad school so that means three more years before skin babies, that's why I have my furbabies. So you're definitely not weird, actually around here you sound pretty normal If any of us are indeed normal |

| No You arent crazy they realy do fill that space of having a skin baby. I have three skin babies but decided I was done having kids. Well sometimes you still get the baby urge. Lyla has filled that space so well I would rather hold her than some of my friends new babies.

| i think/wonder about the same thing. i've been married for 2 yrs and had cocoster for 1.5 yrs. he is our baby and we're looking for a lil sis yorkie for him right now so he will have a fur friend to keep him company. but i do wonder if having 2 small yorkies will be too much when we do have human babies later on in about 1 to 2 years. i'm afraid the baby will hurt him or vice versa. having coco is a handful and i treat him like a real baby. i come home at lunchtime to see him and to play with him even if there's free food at work! my coworkers that have real human babies think i'm nuts! |

| I'm so glad to hear that others love their furbabies like I do. My kids are both grown and I have an adorable grandson who is now 17 mths old, Caden. I adore babies and always looked forward to having grandchildren since we had our own children when we were so young. The problem is, I now have 4 wonderful furbabies to give my attention too. They keep me pretty busy. Our daughter brings our grandson over almost every weekend but she is jealous of the attention I give my dogs. I think she feels it takes away from the attention I give her son. Well, I am always talking about my furbabies and playing with them. If I get down on the floor to play with Caden then of course my furbabies want to play too. I love my grandson but I feel a different kind of love for my 4 furbabies. I think it is because I am responsible for them and they give me unconditional love. |
