| How do you do it??? Breeders, please, let me know your secret. How do you breed your dogs and then sell the puppies? I look at angel's pups, and even though im not selling them, I think of all the people that DO sell. I could never do it. I couldn't imagine my life without them. It breaks my heart to even imagine them being with someone else. How do you do it? How do you let them go?

| Heather - I'm with you! I coulnd't bare the thought of giving the babies away. I guess that's why I am not going to breed, because I could end up with a houseful. My mom used to breed sheltie's and no word of a lie I have been known to littlerly lock myself in my room with the puppies the day that the new parents were to come to pick them up. My dad had to even take my door off the hinges to get the puppies out (while the new parents were standing there watching all this). They must have thought ... "What a crazy bunch??" But I just loved them so much, and was heartbroken to see the leave.

| I'd feel the same exact way too, Heather. It'd be very tough to give up any Yorkie that lives with you, even if they are only with you just a few short weeks. I think though, that if you do find a good parent for your Yorkie, that can be very rewarding as well, to know that a Yorkie will be loved and cherished just as you do your Angel. Thus good breeders will go to great lengths to find the right home for a Yorkie and are picky about who they select, which is well within their right. |

| i would find it very hard but just think of all the joy they are bringing someone like myself who has lost a dog. My breeder is so sweet she really knows i will love my puppy very very much and she was telling someone the other day "she just needs her so much" so GOD BLESS all responsible breeders i know it must be difficult to let these little angels go but without you where would we be

| ?? I want to know how too...lol I breed and I've placed puppies, so far they've been with friends of mine. People I trust and that will be in my life forever! I am running into a snag though. Some of them have 2 even 3 of my puppies and they are at their max. I have 6 puppies that I need to place. I have a TON of emails. I do not reply to most of them because I don't like the 'tone' of their email, ie..how much are your dogs, do you have any cheap ones..those are turn offs.. I screen and screen again. I use the scare tactic that Yorkies pee everywhere and chew everything. They have to be willing to take the good with the bad if they want one of my babies. I get vet references, and I usually know them for a while. I'm still adding to my list of prerequisites... Hugs, Irene |

| I would have a hard time giving the puppies up also. I would be very happy knowing they are going to a good home though.

Fortunately, its with my in-laws and they live 5 minutes from me. That's a little different though, then shipping across the US to someone you dont know or just met. I just couldn't. Im curious how people do this. There are plenty of breeders out there that sell litters upon litters. How do they control the pain in their heart when its time to say goodbye?

| Heather, The shipping is something I will NOT do UNLESS I know who is getting my puppy. I have a friend that lives NC and she is getting one of my girls. I would ship to her a direct flight if I had to. But heck..I'm flying the pup out to her..lololo I had a man from Egypt call me wanting me to ship a puppy to him..I said I am NOT shipping to Egypt . He said oh that's OK..you can ship to my friend in Washington State. I said you don't understand , my puppies must be picked up from my home by the parents to be. He thought I was KoohKooh ...lolol |

| I will let my mother have one of my puppies if she decides she wants one. Or she can borrow two or trade out. Other than that, I had told a friend I would give her Trina for just my out-of-pocket cost. This has been really tough for me, because they then got a Mastiff puppy. She told me they would not get it (for her 17 year old son). She also knew I had a dog killed by a Bull Mastiff puppy about 6 month old. Since they got him, she calls me to tell me how much it means to her for me to give her the puppy, and Mastiff's are the most gentle dogs with other dogs; and she will keep Trina upstairs and never let them near each other. Nothing makes me feel better. She is in Monterrey Mexico now, and her daughter is planning to pick her up August 3rd to drive her down. I am such a coward, my son has told her son numerous times she will not be coming, but I just can't tell her. Sorry Vickey

| pups There are days I could put a sign in the yard...."Free Yorkies, adults and puppies"..but then I make them all go to their room and have time out. Right now, Clemmie is so eager to play with Char's girls that she is sitting and barking at the door for me to open..so I open it, then she tries to pull the bedding out of the pen and the toys..she starts licking their faces and Char wants her out of the room.."stop doing my job"...so I make her leave and shut the door...and she starts all over again barking to get in... It is soooo very hard to let certain ones go...they are all precious, but some come out just like ones you have had in the past..so sweet and perfect, never causing a minutes trouble...Whisper was one of them..and the only person who could have her was RiniW. At the moment I do not see me parting with Char's girls..they are her last litter. |
