How long will it take for him to get used to us? We got him Saturday night and I don't want to push him into training or anything until he feels like he's home or should i just start now? And all he does is sleep then play for 15mins and then goes back to sleep are puppys like this?

If you just got your puppy last night, it is completely normal. It can commonly take 2-3 days for them to feel comfortable around a new family. Particularly if he was shipped or traveled a distance to you. He's been around a lot of new stuff lately. Make sure he has access to food and water (although he may not choose to eat much for a day or two....you can entice him with a bit of canned food or canned tuna or chicken) If he is playing good, that is a good sign. I am assuming, of course, that he is at least 8 weeks old and was fully weaned from mom. If not, it may take quite a bit more work in the area of feeding. Congrats on your new guy!

We got our last one in October, I started working right away with the housebreaking..It is very normal him sleeping all but about 15 minutes at a time, and actually that's what you want them to do...they are babies and they need their sleep, too much playing could lead him to have hypoglycemia, so, sounds like everything is on track.. Good luck with your new baby
