I told him that she was big for 5 wks- he said they are 13 wks-ad said 5 weeks- he said he made a mistake- so I said you think she is going to be only 5 lbs- whats her current weight- he went and weighed her- 3 lbs 10 oz- that is going to be bigger than 5lbs isn't it? Now the pups looked good the female was big- the male was small! beautiful dogs Black/ gold, thick coats, babydoll faces, pretty pups- but i left and said i'd think about it- went past an really neat looking vet's office on the way in- went ther- they were closed- went to store and asked 3 different people if they new about him- no one did???? I am calling that vet place Monday AM- I would love to have this girl- i think she is going to be 1 beautiful girl!-after a bath! And she might be sold by then- but I am going to find out something.then I stared thinking- well they are in the mobil home, heat, but probably cool, maybe no baths because of all the cold weather! He said he lost 2- they were so little! Really all the dogs looked good, but these 2 babies SMELLED BAD! 13wks-3lbs10oz=5lbs grown??? Is that close?? I think she is going to be 6-7???? | I would definitely stay away... If you are seriously considering a pup from there, you need to see what is inside of that mobile home where the pups came out of. Most likely that is where their breeding dogs are kept. And if the puppies were that stinky, the dogs are probably not in very good condition. And if the pup is 3lbs 10oz at 12 weeks it will definitely be bigger than 5lbs. Lacy was 3lbs at 12 weeks and is now 7.5lbs full grown. I'd look somewhere else if I were you

YT 2000 Club Member | In all honesty, and I could be very wrong here, but it sounds like a BYB. Why in the world would he keep the Mom and the pups out back in a MH? That's crazy! You don't do that when they are loved, well cared for pets, you keep them WITH you where you can play with them, see them, love them, cuddle them, socialize them. His house can be as clean as can be, but if the pups came outta that MH and SMELLED but had no feces on them, my guess would be there stinkin cause there's feces out there not cleaned up and Lord knows how much. I definately wouldn't buy from him unless you went out and seen what was in that trailor and what kinda conditons the pups were kept in.

| i know, kind of Oh, I agree, with most of the post! both pups were so beautiful- looked healthy, they just smelled. The man was older- probably can't do it all- needs to get rid of some dogs- or get some help! It just pulled at my heart-Told boy friend- felt bad forleaving her- if i took her, i'd feel bad for her little brother- he loves his sissy!!! But because of what i have learned on YT- i walked away- i am going to call a vet in that town MON- just to know - it just kind of tore at my heart, knowing the life they should of had! |

| I don't get a warm cozy feeling about this. First off, how warm can that Mobil home be if there is ac in the window? Second, you have no idea what kind of condition the inside of the Mobil home was in, or the mom or dad... My Sadie was clean and smelled good at 10 weeks old. She didn't get a bath before we came cause the breeder said had been so cold... and it was... so I agreed with her. But she was a clean pup. why would that poor baby smell so bad if she was cared for? Even my Chewy who came from a pet shop didn't have a horrible stink to him when I got him. (He needed a bath to be sure but not desperately!!!) I would find some one who's pups are like their babies.... who cares, lives with the pups and parents. Hope this helps.

| Demand to see both the dam and the sire. You don't want puppies you don't get to see the parents of. Seeing them will give you a much better idea of what size the puppies will be and what they'll look like. And definitely demand to see where they've been kept. If the place is dirty, you could be in for a case of parvo. That's really bad news. Also, they should have had shots. If he hasn't got a certificate from the vet for that, you need to know why. It could be because he doesn't want the vet to know that the pups are ill kept. And you should ask for a liver protein test or a guarantee so you can have it done, otherwise you could have a baby with a liver shunt, another very expensive problem. |

I was trying to say that even with heat on, if the ac was in the window it wouldn't be shut...letting cold air in. Maybe I miss understood. was the ac in the window?

| just talked to vet's office in this town! I was told he has taken pups there- but uses other vets in area, also! ( I could tell by this place when I saw it- it would not be cheap to go to- probably not even REASONABLE!- it was classy) They know of no problems with him- know he has a replacement policy- only know of one case that a pup has had to be replaced! he has been there for health checks- they have never had a problem with any pup he has brought there! Said she would get from him, if he had a dog she wanted! I still think the pup is a little bigger than I want! He did tell me at her 8 week weight it charted at 5-51/2 lbs, but at 13 1/2 weeks- it was bigger! all this - is making my mind spin- looking, looking- I had dreams about 10 yorkies in a row last night!!!!!!! |
