| How Soon Should I Let My Yorkie Eat Dry Food? I have a 5 week old yorkie that still drinks milk from her mama. I also give her mushed up puppy food. I have three other yorkies and she got ahold of 3 little pebbles of their dry puppy food and chewed away at it and loved it! Is it too soon to let her have it dry? She's so good......when she needs to go potty she always seeks out her potty pad and pees right on the pad! Then she wipes too! It's such a sight to see! She wants so badly to follow the other dogs out the doggy door, but she can't quite push through it! I haven't let her play outside yet because it is a little too cold for her still.

| I'd let her go ahead and crunch on it. I have never offered it to mine at 5 weeks, but at 6 they do fine with it. I give them the Royal Canin baby dog #30. Also if she is dragging her butt after pooping you might want to check to make sure she does not have poop caked in her hair. Rubbing their butt is not normal if everything is OK back there.
