| XXsmall clothes Buttons has grown in the last two weeks and it seems the xxsmall is getting a bit snug. Do any of you have to get just xsmall. Buttons is almost 3 months old. It says on most of the tags for yorkies to wear xxsmall. You thinks she is getting too big too fast???

| You can't rely on the size that is on the tag. It works better to measure your little furbutt and go from there. There are many very qualified seamstresses here at YT that offer a multitude of clothing sizes for Yorkies. You might want to check out the "Yorkie Products for Sale" and "Featured Yorkie Products for Sale" forums. Last edited by chattiesmom; 01-25-2008 at 07:00 AM. |

| Maya is almost 11 months and she wears XS ... she has to - a size small is too big ... and it depends where I buy it from too. But MOST of the time that Stinker is not wearing her stuff at all ... she hates clothes ....

| Its easy for then to change when they are young. And different places you are getting things from size vary. Its easier to measure them and go from there.

| Measure around the fullest part of tummy and from neck to tail (just where the tail meets the body) and measure around the neck.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Nolee did not wear xsmall for long at all. He has been in a small for several months now. He just turned out to be a longer and taller than we thought. He weighs 8 lbs and will be 1 year. I think it has to do with the size of the parents. The breeder did say the mom was 8lbs.

| I think I can deal with 8 pounds or a little more. I am just not use to this little body walking around under my feet. I love her though, she is precious.

| Sizing can vary among dogs and brands. My Lacy is 7lbs and normally wears a small in most brands, but I've bought XS's and Mediums in some brands as well. It's better to measure your dog and go by her measurements when picking out a size. Yorkies can wear all sizes because they can vary in size. To Measure: Neck - measure around the neck where a collar would be chest - mesure around the chest just behind the front legs Length - with your dog standing squarly, measure from where the collar would be to the base of the tail. (do not measure length laying down or sitting)
