My first Yorkie, Zada had both knees operated on at the same time. Recovery time was 6 to 8 weeks. What did you need to know about it?

IMO - Grade 3 and 4 should have surgery. Roxy had both legs done at the same time ($3000) Recovery is at least 8 weeks and very serious, they must be contained in a crate or small expen LP doen't get better on its own, only worse.

toto needs both legs done but he wants to do one at a time. she has torn ligaments in her knees also. they want 3200 for just one leg. toto is 11 years old, I am worried about her age and the fact she once had a collapse of her treacea.

Are you seeing an Ortho Specialist? Roxy has CT too, but her Specialist was aware of it. The torn ligaments sound scarey 11 years old is still kinda young - IMO

I would be concerned about the trachea and the age. Has the vet talked to you about this? Is she in good health? Both my girls have had LP surgery. One just had surgery last month. The most important thing is to get a Certified Ortho Specialist to do the surgery. I would definitely ask your vet about the trachea and her age. LP will not get better on it own, only surgery can fix it. I will send prayers for your baby. Please keep us posted on her.
