| Ear odor Can you give me tips on getting rid of "stinky ears"? She isnt digging in her ears as if it were ear mites, but they do have an odor.

| She most likely has a yeast infection and needs to be seen by a vet to get meds

| Could be a yeast infection as well as mites. You will have to take her to the vet although they sell meds at the pet store for mites they don't for yeast infections. best wishes from Max and I.

| I'm not a professional, but sounds like a yeast infection. Have it checked by a vet and he\she will probably give you Otimax drops for the ears. Good luck and let us know.

| Black and itchy could be mites Black and sour smelling could be infection Brown and maybe sweet smelling could be yeast infection The vet will probably do a cytology and give you otomax. I would recommend going that way but I have seen a product online called Zymox that you could try if you're sure it isn't mites. Of course it is always better to see a vet.

| It does sound like an infection in the ears. Toto had one caused by getting water in there when she was groomed. The groomer was supposed to be pulling the hairs but the vet found that she was just sticking the scissors way down in there & snipping them off! No doubt, I am now her groomer!! Yep! She looks "gapped" and kinda ragged, but I know that she has ear plugs in her ears when she is bathed! Poor baby never scratched at her ears either but they smelled and she ran a high temperature. She was on meds for a month.
