| I bet she doesn't care that her poor dog could die if she's tooooo tiny to have puppies. Some dogs, are too small to be bred. DUHHHHHHH@!!!!!!!!!

| Before we jump to any conclusions...she doesn't say her female is a "teacup". She just says she is "very small". That is relative. She could be 5 lbs. which some breeders feel is an okay size for breeding. It sounds like she is just trying to protect her small female by making sure the male is small. They breed small males all the time. Maybe you could email her and ask her how big her female is. Last edited by SoCalyorkiLvr; 07-11-2005 at 02:40 PM. Reason: spelling |

| actually i think she does state that it's a teacup...here's the ad: have a teacup yorkshire terrier I would like to breed so I am looking for a stud male. My female is very small so the male must be a teacup size as well and located somewhere in Southern california. Please e-mail me. I wll pay for this service. Thank you. so sad someone should email her and ask for some info about the dog and see just how tiny she is.

| I emailed her The following is the message that I sent her. I am a yorkie owner. I have had yorkies for years. I am hoping that by small female you are not talking under 5 pounds. To breed a dog under 5 pounds is extremely dangerous both for the mom and the pups. Also, if you really know yorkies enough to want to breed, you must be aware that there is no such things as teacups. |

| This is the email that I sent: 1)There is no such thing as a teacup Yorkie 2) A female should not be bred unless she is at least 5-5.5 lbs and even then she should be checked by a vet to make sure she is "built" to carry pups 3) Before you breed a Yorkie it should be vet tested for genetic disorders... Liver Shunt, Legg Perth's, etc, to make sure that these debilitating conditions will not be passed on to a litter of puppies 4) If you arent even aware of the fact that there is no such thing as a "teacup" Yorkie, maybe you should rethink breeding your female and putting her and the pup's live's in danger.
