| Wags for Wishes!! Well, we went back to the Wags for Wishes Charity Dog Show today and we had soo much fun! We were there four 4 hours and I left the suncreen in the car so I am sunburned badly but it was worth it. I took some pictures of Vendors Village this time. We saw all sorts of dogs and I found out the proper, politically correct term for a "mutt" or mixed breed is an "All American". That is so much nicer I think. These dogs are all welcome to participate in the events at this show like Dock Jumping, Lure Course, Agility Course, Flyball, Frisbee, etc. It was so much fun to see all of the breeds and there were lots of yorkies too. I had my Standard Poodle and my westie too. We waited in line for 45 minutes for my westie to do the lure course. Here is the link to the video for that. When you hear me say "that's not fair"...it's because they started the lure and then stopped it right in front of her while they were waiting for the last dog to leave the course. It was sucha tease and she was going nuts!! She had a blast! http://www.jusspress.com/day.php?use...710&imageNum=0 After that we took her to the doggie pool to cool off! |

| Wow, that looks so fun! Is it around the US or just strictly in California? That pink bed looks gorgeous but boy does the water look murky. Haha I wish I could go to these things, and I totally agree with you. "That darn All American" sounds SO much better than "that darn mutt". |

| I was there on Saturday! What fun! Usually my Flyball team particpates in the Flyball competition; but this year we decided to skip it so we could enjoy the other activities. My friend's dogs particpated in the Dock Dogs Diving competition. Now that's a fun one to watch. They also did the lure course with obstacles and the novice Disc, aka frisbee, fetch and throw. We had a blast yesterday and the shopping was great. I really had to show some control and not buy anything since I spent tons at the Pet Expo @ Pomona. I should have asked if there was anyone on here going; we could have introduces ourselves! The Wags to Wishes is a fundraiser in conjunction with the Make a Wish foundation for pediatric cancer patients. If memory serves, the coordinator of Wags is also an employee/coordinator for Make a Wish. The entire 3 day event all goes to charity. And to answer someone's question regarding the water.... The event is held at the Del Mar Horsepark, so most of the grounds are dirt! So all the dogs get in and out with mud on their paws. You should see the Dock Diving pool by day 3!! One big mud bath.
