| The Wolf Within Have you guys seen this special on animal planet...it will debunk many of your ideas about your dog and why they do the things they do. For instance....it says they don't really "love" us, and when they roll over on their backs for you to rub the tummies, it's a sign of submission to you as the "alpha male" not love of the owner. Everything is ruled by the pack mentality, so they say, and not the sentimentality we think we see. Your reactions please. |

| To an extent, I agree. Our dogs only know so much. They don't know the difference between today and Christmas Day; they wouldn't know why they were getting extra treats and new presents because it was Christmas. Dogs are a great companion, but to me, that is what is defined as unconditional love - companionship.
