| Animal Welfare Survey & candidates I found this on the Prisoners of Greed website - very interesting. It said it was a new survey - but no dates anywhere on the website. But it does ask some important questions http://www.prisonersofgreed.org/survey.html we need politicians to pay attn to closing down the puppy mill industry!! Also, you might be interested in this website - very good & I found some alarming information about a candidate I liked. http://hslf.typepad.com/political_animal/ I'm so tired & saddened about reading about all the sick puppies and these stupid pet stores that sell dogs - and we've got a Petland that opened here yesterday!!!!!!! - which I didn't even know was coming until a couple of weeks ago.

| I know! Why, oh why, are puppy mills legal in this country? They are illegal in other countries. I filled out the form. This candidate would have my undying devotion: If a candidate spoke strongly about the need to shut down puppymills, would you vote for that candidate? YES!!!! Thanks, Yorkiesmiles.

| Thank you for the link. I was also sent this article this morning . The son of former Arkansas Huckabee kills dog. http://www.snopes.com/politics/huckabee/dog.asp I believe parents instill in their children a love for animals, I know my parents did and when you read the article it really makes you think. I also believe as animal lovers we need to know how our politicians feel about many of these issues and won't be swayed by the lobbiests after their own interests. If you remember the pets industry is over a 93 billion dollar business (reported in taxes) then you have to understand why laws are not changed and hugh industries continue to pump out puppies. We also as individuals have to continue to tell our courts that we will not tolerate a slap on the wrist for people who harm animals. We can make a difference.

| That is such a sad website. All of those dogs and the conditions they lived in day after day and year after year. Rain or snow, it sickens me. The bad thing is these places are usually way out in the country and hardly anyone even know they exist. That is why they sell to petstores so customers wont be coming out to the house and turning them in. I hope everyone that even has an idea that there is a puppymill that they know of would go and investigate and turn these criminals in. They deserve to rot behind bars just like their poor dogs are doing. |

| Puppy mills are not just back country places. Hunt Corporation has hugh facilities that just pump out puppies in nice conditions . Do a google search on them. It is also interesting to note AKC's involvement with this organization. This is just one of many links http://www.helpinganimals.com/Factsh...play.asp?ID=45
