| What Do You Do To Your Dogs When You Vacation? Just wondering what most people do with their yorkies/pets when they go on vacation?

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Mine go too...however, last vacation was to Hawaii...so I paid an outrageous sum of money for my nephew to come stay at my house with them.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Don't take vacations. If I did I would work it so my dtr or husband was home and then I would only go for a day or two.

| If we are traveling in the U.S. they come with us. If we're going overseas, they stay at the groomers. She has nice, large kennels (maybe 8) and they can stay together. She lets them run around inside the building during the day and they are taken outside to go to the bathroom. She doesn't bother with their leashes. They don't run. |

| Amen to that! LOL! Tucker goes everywhere with us. We go out of the country once a year and we have made arrangements for his breeder to keep him then. She lives fairly close by so it will work out nicely. |

| When we go to our R-Ranch we take all of our Yorkies with us. One time my husband and I went to Lake Tahoe to celebrate our anniversary and because Grandma lived not far from Tahoe we dropped both the kids and all of our Yorkies at her house! She begged us to let them all stay with her! That made us feel good. One time we left our Yorkies at a kennel for a weekend that we were gone and we worried about them the whole time. Fortunately we have some good neighbors that we have watch our Yorkies now when we vacation. We felt much better letting them stay in their familiar environment.

| With Slade I've only gone on one little wknd trip since I've had him and he went with me. However, I did have a friend in town one wknd and we were going to be partying and I knew I really didn't want to worry about Slade during that wknd and making enough time for him too, so he went to stay with my best friend who he adores and she adores him just as much. She is one of the two ppl in this world I trust with my babies. With my pit bull I only trust ONE person with her and that is my mom! Usually Laney goes with me, the only time she hasn't was when I went on the wknd trip (and took Slade), she stayed at home with mom then. In March, I will be going to Idaho for a whole week and neither of my babies can go (well they CAN, but I don't want to stress either one of them with flying and I'm going to see a friend, and I'm not so sure he can have pets where he lives, and I can't afford hotel on top of plane tix), so Slade is going to stay with his "auntie Krystal" and Laney is staying at home with my mom. When I move away from her I don't even want to think about what I'll do with them on vacations then.
