| Webcam to Monitor Our Pets Hello All! I just set up my webcam at mypetcams.com to monitor Jeanie - and it is working fabulously! I can pop in at anytime during the day and see what she is doing. Looks like she sleeps ALOT! But anyway, thought someone out there might enjoy learning that this is out there, and that it is easy and works well |

| It does! I usually keep her in the kitchen, but watched the day yesterday, and the cat and the dog looked like they had a boring nothing day. So I let her roam today, and will watch she stays out of trouble. I can call the landlady upstairs if I thought she was doing something dangerous (not that there is anything, but you know how we all worry!! too much!!!) and so far, it looks like they had some interaction, but for the most part, the cat sleeps in her bed, Jeanie sleeps on the top of the couch.... exciting life! |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I'm so beyond fascinated. So, is it sleep most of the day or what? I know you can't give out the address, but man would it be cool to check it out. I would love to watch my boys. What equip would I need to do it?

| Hello! all you need is a webcam set up and working. I signed into mypetcams.com, and had to register. It found my webcam on it's own. So now when I leave in the morning, I go to the website, sign on with my username and password, and then I "stream" the webcam (which means it turns on and starts working). Then when I get to work, I sign on again, and just check off "watch" my webcam rather than stream, and it shows what's happening. It's so easy! I couldn't believe it. good luck ladies. I get worried about Jeanie too - and see now that she sleeps a lot during the day! But I have a dog walker come in, and totally trust her, but can see them go when it's time to go. She plays a bit (the dog walker knows the webcam is on - so I'm not spying). And that's kind of fun to see her interact with her friend. Love this thing! |
