| is good personality hereity? not sure how to ask this question. i am getting a furbaby next month, i have met both the parents, they are great dogs, very well behaved and they socialize with strangers good, can i expect the same from my baby? i know that alot of their good behavior is training. how much does the parents personalities have to do with the puppy's personality? i hope my question makes sense. thanks, gloria |

| Hi Gloria, and CONGRATS! I just spoke with a Chihuahua breeder about this same subject. Her exact words were "Temperament is hereditary, but disposition is not". So, in other words, I guess there is some pre-determined genetics involved in whether you'll have a calm or hyper baby, but we can make that better or worse with however we treat them.
