| Will I ever get a good night's sleep again? My little Brody has kept me from sleeping at all! He sleeps in his kennel and wants to get out and potty 1-2x a night. I'd prefer him wake me to potty, but does it ever end! I haven't slept for more than 5 hours since I got him and it's wearing on me. |

| As I trudged downstairs at 3:00 this morning, I wondered the same thing! I am stoked that Cooper is doing so well in terms of potty training. But I DO like my sleep. I look forward to the day when I get 8 solid hours again! |

| yes! A full nights sleep will happen again, I promise! As your puppy gets older, he'll be able to hold it longer and longer. My 10 week old has been needing to go every 3-4 hours during the night. Last night, though, we went to bed about midnight and didn't wake us up until 6 this morning! Yay! Also, make sure he potties right before bed and limit food and water right before bed if hypoglycemia isn't a risk. Hope this helps!

| My yorkie is now 15 months old and from about a year she went all through the night. I had permanent black circles under my eyes!!! Now she only wakes up to bark at shadows. |

| Oh yes, you will sleep again. And because you've been deprived for a while, when you do, it will feel even sweeter!! Puppies always remind me of being a new mom - all those sleepless nights. BUT puppies grow faster than babies! Yeah!!

| Feeding dinner earlier (like 4-5) and taking multiple potty trips outside *right* before bed (like one 30 mins before, 15 mins before and then again right before bed) will help big time. It gets better after a few months.

| Teddi is 1 year and 4 months and she always has to poop during the nite. She sleeps on my bed but there are pillows on the side of the bed to make stairs so she can get down and sometimes I don't even know when she goes down but when I wake up there is usually a poop on the pad on the other side of the bed when I wake up. Sometimes I do wake up when she gets up and it is usually around 3 or 4am. She never has to pee at nite, she always pees outside right before I got to bed.

How old is he ? When they mature they can hold it longer but if you have a puppy - count on getting no sleep for a while...I wouldn't hold water from him if I were you - it'll pass and one day he'll sleep thru the night | |

| Jambo most of the time sleeps with me now but he really doesn't go at night any more and usually goes to his litter box if he does. In the beginning before he could be trusted to potty in his litter box or when he sleeps in his crate/kennel, I don't lock/close the kennel door and placeit in a gated area such as my kitchen which has a litter box. He would get up and do his thing whenever he felt like it throughout the night and I would see it the next morning. Fortunately, he has never pee-ed or poo-ed in his bed nor mine. |

| this is one of the reasons why I love the xpens, I have been able to sleep all night from day one..I put the pee pad down at one end, and the bed at the other..You can figure they can hold their bladders for 1 hour for every month..like if they're 3 mos. 3 hours, etc etc. I have just let ginger start sleeping in the family room at night with the other 3, as she goes to the pee pad when she has to go..good luck, it does get better.. |

| Rocco sleeps in my bed and as someone else suggested i pull his food and water 1 hour before I plan to go to bed and within that hour I take him out to potty at least 4 times. He is 5 months old and I have done it this way since I got him at 9 weeks and he does great. The only thing is that he has gotten on my Monday through Friday schedule of getting up at 5:30 and believe me I just barely get him outside before he's going potty. LOL, which makes for a VERY sad Saturday and Sunday for me when I could actually sleep in. |

| My daughter and SIL trained their 10wk old min pin (1lb) to wake them up at night and they would pick him up in one hand and put him down on the floor to pee on the pad then Epcot would come back and cry to be picked up and he would be scooped up and tucked back in bed with them. I only got up with Buddy twice and stopped when the vet told me did I want him on my schedule or was I going to be on his? He had no choice but to hold it until 6:00am when I took him out immediately. He was trained by 5 1/2 mos. I took him out at 11:00 and put him in his crate for the night. He was 14 1/2 wks old. It took one month to completely train him. I felt so guilty but it worked. No water or treats after 10 at night. |

| sleep thru the night I've had yorkies for 17 years and a couple have never slept through the night. My smaller ones seem to be the worst. My youngest "Feather" is 8 1/2 months now and never sleeps more than 5 hours without waking me up, but I wouldn't trade them for anything in the world. |
