| I want a second baby!!! Hi guys, Last night, I was begging my boyfriend that we should get another baby yorkie. Our older yorkie child is now two years old and should be fine with another young one. He suggested that I should look around for the pros and cons of having two dogs. I have tried looking but I can't really pin-point and say, ah-ha, there it is and show him. Please help me persuade him??? I want a second baby!!! |

| They are pack animals and deserve to have a play mate. They will live a happier and healthier life if they have a canine companion. (don't know if any of that is true, but it sure sounds good to me LOL)

| I have two dogs mine are 10 years old and 11 weeks. The first part of my advice that I have is that you must have the time for each furbaby and financial resources to provide for two dogs. The second is that if you plan to have a family will two furbabies to much to handle. This is why we wait to get a other furbaby. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I had an 8 year old pom when I got Cali at 9 weeks. 2 years ago they did fine. I had my pom and Cali whe I got Pixie last January and they all did great. Then I got Dixie at 6 months 2 weeks ago and they act like they have been together forever. I never had more than 1 dog at a time until I got Cali and it is so much fun to see them interact, play with each other and snuggle up together. I say go for it if you can afford it.

| reply to question It take a a lot of work to cure a jealous furbaby. We had to spent a lot of time with both of them. My husband and I would pet and play with them at the same time or while the older one was a sleep we would feed the younger one if not the older one would eat the little ones food. We also have problems with the older one biting us and the young one biting everyone in the face. It has taking a while for the older one to even accept the young one around him but now they are finally getting some what along. We still have the food problem and some jealousy issues but as time goes by things will start looking up. I wish you the best on your decision. I do not want you to believe that it is all bad but there are many things that we had to consider before we got a new pup. |

| I got Gracie a sister when Gracie was 18 mo. old. So far, so good. Gracie loves having a playmate and is very protective of her baby sister. The only cons are double the expense, and figuring out how to handle two leashes at once! Pros- the more Yorkies you have, the more kisses you get. Too many pros to count!

| Hello I Too Have Been Thinking About Getting Another Baby, My Harvey Is 2 In March, The Only Worry I Have Is That Will Another Dog Change Harvey, What I Mean Is, He Is Our Baby And Gets All The Attention, Love Etc. Will We Have Enough To Go Around, I Dont Want His Personality To Change - We Love Him So Much, I Am Afraid To Spoil Things. I Think This Sounds Silly, Now I Have Read It Back To Myself - But It Is How I Feel. Good Luck With Your Decision.

| My girls are two years apart. They get along great and love each other very much. They are jealous of each other though. They each want all the attention. The one thing I like about two is that they are never alone.

We were trying to figure out how much Aggie costs us per year: Food: $30 appx (large bag of Natural Balance will last almost a year) Diapers: $50 (a box of 100 count, warehouse price) Leash & Harness: $20 - $30 Clothes (a necessity!): $100 - $150 Vet: First Year: $300 - $400 appx. (emergencies too...) Second year on: $200 Travel: $160 - $320 (depending on how much she travels with us) Toys and Misc. : $80 - $100 It's about $3 a day. Most of us spend more than that on a cup of coffee a day! Wow...almost a grand a year! BUT, how can you say no to those cute little faces?? | |
