| His color is changing Scooter is about 1 year old and of course I think he's beautiful, but I'm seeing silver, bluish gray colors developing on his shoulders. His body is black, his face and ears are a gorgeous caramel mixed with black and his legs and feet are the same pretty caramel but without the black. Is he supposed to get the change on his shoulders? He is my first Yorkie and since I know nothing about his background (he's a rescue) I'm wondering if he is pure Yorkie. Even if he's not, I adore him and think he's the most handsome guy I've ever seen. |

Therapy Dog Donating Member | Hi and welcome to YT....Izzy is almost a year old and just the past few months I have started to see a change in hair color just on the back of her head and ears.....to a beautiful golden color. I'm hoping others jump on this thread that are breeders and can answer us more.

| These little guys are like chameleons always changing color. Bruiser changed colors up until he was two years old. It sounds pretty normal to me.
